Ashish is reverent in all aspects of his life. Whether he is at a service project, giving a presentation or being interviewed, he is respectful towards everyone. He chaired picnic day food prep with the utmost respect. He respected the personnel, the dining commons and fellow APO members. He ensured we all wore hairnets, had our gloves on and used only the supplies we brought. He delegated some of us to cut the meat and others to season without making us feel we were being bossed around. He honors the requirement pledges have of interviewing actives. While I interviewed him, he gave me his attention while having a genuine interest in what I said. He commanded attention during his CLW workshop through his reverent nature. He shared information about how to be active in APO with terms everyone understood, which encouraged us who heard his speech to think about how we can be involved like him. He is an excellent example for everyone—actives, pledges and alumni—to follow because he embodies all the qualities of the Scout Oath, especially reverence.
