When I think of the word “cheerful,” only one name and face pops into my mind: Kat Chan.  Every time I see her, her joy and excitement are apparent regardless of whatever the situation.  When I had first met her, she was the Mckenzie Service VP, and despite all the hard work the position asked of her, I have never heard her complain about it.  Actually, the only words I had ever heard her speak of towards service were “Service is hella fun” and “Service is sexy!”  No matter what the project, I have never heard her opinion of service swayed.  She is one of the few actives I know who are not in Excomm who not only welcomes interviews, but cheerfully and eagerly asks for pledges to approach her.  There is no greater joy for her than meeting and getting to know everyone that she possibly can.  Aside from her joy in her part in Aphio, her cheerfulness in daily conversations provide a sense of warmth and welcome, and she is always more than happy to help another individual.  Of the time that I have known Kat, be it good or bad times, I have never felt her void of her cheerfulness.  Not only does she find the good out of the bad, but is able to project her optimism to those around her.  (She is very infectious :]!).  Although Kat Chan and cheerfulness come hand-in-hand, this most definitely does not do justice to her versatility as there are not enough words in this world to describe her (good words, that is…).
